Animals of Our Lives

Animals are another love of my life. Particularity, I have a fondness and soft spot for cats. My whole life I've lived around and loved animals of all sizes. If your an animal lover like me, you will enjoy the next set of photos I've posted. The first two cats are of my own and have beautiful personalities that offer great moments to capture. You will also see a feline that has a tendency to be aware of his surroundings all the time which gave me great opportunities to capture his amazing eyes. Last but not least is my fathers dog whom has a tendency to roll in the snow and the ripe age of 11.
Young in spirit!

If you have an animal companion that you want photos with to just capture their life, send me an email at amcevoyphotography@gmail.com.

Kristy + Matt Engagement

July 10 began as a beautiful day in the park! Kristy & Matt picked the beautiful Andrew Haydon Park for their engagement photo background. I had never been there before so it was a new experience for me and my camera. We took a stroll around the park and found some great places to capture their moments. Congratulations to Kristy & Matt and their engagement. I hope your lives together are full & wonderful.

Sam + Adam Engagement

On July 6, Sam + Adam took the trip with me out to Manotick to take some beautiful photos for their engagement. The day was one during the heatwave the Ottawa area so our adventure was a hot one! We got some great shots and the time together was worth it! Congratulations to both of them on their new life ahead of them.

Tonight's The Night

How was everyone's warm evening? A night spent watching Cake Boss all night with the two best people in the world makes for a nice evening ... minus the HOT temperature. Unfortunately my sister's place does not have central air so we depended on fans.

TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT

Tonight I'm out for an adventure with Sam & Adam photographing their momentous engagement. It will be fun to see what I come up with and the creative side of my photography. My 'second hand' is not in the country, but in the Dominican lounging on a beach somewhere with a drink in her hand, so I'm on my own for this one! I'm looking forward to what my camera holds.

TAKING IT BACK

As I build up my experience and start some new adventures, I'm learning my niche with the photography but still am looking to keep opening doors. I've done a few events, my maternity shots I feel are my favorite, as well as outdoor portraits. I feel that natural light and the beauty of nature brings out the best in the subject and the camera!

WHAT TO LOOK FORWARD TO

With some photo sessions coming soon and exciting new experiences, I will also be posting my own 'Techniques' to help any new photographers have some extra help. I know I'm very new to photography, but I'm thinking as I learn, you can learn as well.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable (hot) day!

A Hot Week Ahead

THE WEATHER REPORT

Its amazing that they don't just call Ontario, Arizona! It feels like the desert out here, not like Canada. The number is climbing as the day moves on, currently 33 degrees and feeling like 44 degrees with the UV index being 10. Ouch! I just can't believe it ....

A BUSY WEEK
AHEAD

Even with these crazy temperatures, I have the great opportunity to make my way out with the camera and have WONDERFUL opportunity to photograph a few people this week.

Tuesday I will be taking the time to capture a beautiful moment for Sam & Adam as they celebrate their engagement. Thursday I will be kicking up my soccer enthusiasm and going to the World Cup Celebration brought to you by an Event Management group from Algonquin College. They are hosting this event for the Children's Wish Foundation and I encourage EVERYONE to join! Some well know Ottawa celebrities will be in the audience, Max Keeping to be one.

This weekend
I will be out and about for another engagement session with Kristy & Matt. I will also be looking forward to a family portrait session at Andrew Hayden Park with Krista and her family, winners of the 2-hr photo session auctioned off at the Coyote's Go Wild event last month.

WHAT TO LOOK FORWARD TO

I know a few of you have been waiting to see some past event work I've been doing. I'm sorry to keep you waiting for I won't post too many photos until the owners receive their packages. Last month was very busy and the families have not received any photos yet from their events. Sit tight though, they are coming soon!

Also, I have a maternity and newborn sessions coming up soon so keep a look out for some up and coming photographs.

Stay cool & hydrated!
Yours truly,

A. McEvoy
